Privacy policy
Last updated 15 October 2026This policy explains what information Wordawazzle.com collects when you play, how it’s used, and the choices you have. The short version: there are no accounts, and your game progress stays on your own device.
1. Information we collect
You don’t need an account or sign-up to play. We don’t ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.
2. Data stored on your device
Your guesses, game progress, statistics, streaks and settings (such as hard mode and dark mode) are saved in your browser’s local storage, along with a cached copy of the word list. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser data will reset your progress.
3. Player counts
The number of players shown each day is an anonymous total. When you finish a game, the site adds one to a daily counter hosted by the free Abacus counting service (abacus.jasoncameron.dev). Only the counter goes up: no name, account or game details are sent, although, like any web request, the service can see your IP address and browser type. The count does not identify you.
4. Third-party services
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address and browser details when the page loads. Like most websites, our hosting and content delivery providers keep short-lived server logs for security. If we add analytics or advertising in future, we’ll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
5. Sharing your results
When you tap Copy result, a spoiler-free grid is copied to your clipboard. Nothing is shared unless you paste it somewhere yourself.
6. Children
Wordawazzle is suitable for all ages. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
7. Your rights
We aim to handle information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Because your game data is kept on your device, you can view or delete it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
